TOUR 1 - Oxford, Stratford Upon Avon, Manchester, York, Windsor & London
Day 1 – Oxford
First stop Oxford, home of the world famous university. Founded in 1167, Oxford is England's oldest university. Upon arrival we will take you on a walking tour of the famous college buildings, amongst cloisters and quadrangles, along the back streets and into chapels and dining halls and across cobblestone squares standing in the shadows of the famous 'dreaming spires'. Some of the university colleges that you will see include Christchurch (the setting for some of the most famous Harry Potter movie scenes), Merton, Oriel, Corpus Christi, Magdalen, University, Queens, All Souls, Hertford, Trinity, Balliol and St John's. The University has 39 independent, autonomous colleges and you will also pass alongside many others on your tour.
Other famous landmarks you will cover on the tour include Carfax Tower, Christchurch Meadows, The Examination Schools building, the covered market, the Radcliffe Camera, the Bodleian Library, the Sheldonian Theatre, Martyrs Memorial and the Ashmolean Museum. Again, you will be within walking distance of other sites including the Pitt Rivers Institute, St Michael at Northgate, Magdalen Bridge, The University Museum and many others.
Day 2 - Stratford upon Avon
Famous throughout the world as the birthplace of William Shakespeare, it is also where he returned to live his final years in semi-tranquility. Your guide will tell you all the history of this beautiful market town with the special emphasis on the Shakespeare connection combined with many other interesting facts along the way. On the tour you will pass many historic places linked with Shakespeare including Holy Trinity Church, his final resting place. Entrance is included into the family home of Shakespeare's wife Anne Hathaway. This picturesque thatched cottage on the edge of Stratford is one of the best preserved Tudor buildings in the country and undoubtedly one of the highlights of any day out in rural England.
After the tour you will have free time to have lunch in one of Stratford's many famous pubs, restaurants and cafes, spend time in Bancroft Gardens by the River Avon, visit the Farmer's Market or take a closer look at one or two of the other Shakespearian properties Stratford has to offer. Time permitting, there is always a chance to take in a matinee performance at one of the Royal Shakespeare Company's theatres.
Day 3 - Manchester
Begin with a walking tour of this bustling city and visit one of the many museums on offer (People’s Museum, the Museum of Science and Industry, Urbis), followed an excursion to Old Trafford Football Stadium, the world famous home of Manchester United Football Team. Late afternoon depart Manchester and drive to Edinburgh.
Day 4 – Edinburgh
Scotland's capital city and a World Heritage Site, often referred to as the 'Athens of the North'. A unique city in a stunning location. A city of breathtaking beauty and tradition. Join the guide for a wallking tour of the historical Old Town. Venture along the Royal Mile, from the Palace of Holyrrodhouse (the official home of the Royal family in Scotland) to the stunning Edinburgh Castle at the top, sitting high up overlooking this wonderful city. Some fre time in the afternoon where you can take the opportunity to visit the fantastic range of attractions on offer, from Museums to Distilleries, Cathedrals to nightclubs and the fascinating contrast between the New Town and the historic Old Town.
Day 5 – York
Depart Edinburgh after breakfast and head to the medieval city of York, recently voted the UK's most popular city! York is central to the history of Britain. Visit the Jorvik Museum and discover what life was like 1000 years ago, then on to the famous York Minster Cathedral. We depart York early evening, stopping overnight in the Midlands en route to Windsor.
Day 6 – Windsor-London
After breakfast we drive to Royal Windsor and Windsor Castle, the traditional home of the Kings and Queens of England. Time to visit the Castle and then cross the River for a photo stop at Eton College. Early afternoon we head to London, England's Capital City. Often referred to a a 'World in one City', there is so much to see and do in London. Begin with coach sightseeing drive to see many of London’s major attractions –Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Downing Street, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, and end the day with dinner in Leicester Square/Piccadilly Circus.
Day 7 - London
A full day sightseeing in London. The morning can be spect at one of the many free museums London has to offer (British Museum, Natural History Museum, Science Museum,Tate Modern and many, many more). In the afternoon head to Madame Tussauds for a photo with the stars! In the evening try a boat trip on the famous River Thames, see the city of London in lights, a fantastci way to end your 7 day tourof Britain.
Tour 2 - London, Windsor, Oxford, Cotswolds, Lacock, Bath, Stonehenge & Salisbury
Day 1 – A full day sightseeing in London. Begin with a boat trip on the River Thames, and then visit one of London’s many museums (all free) – British Museum, Victoria & Albert, National Gallery, Natural History, Science, Tate Modern and many more to choose from. In the evening enjoy a night out in Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus or Chinatown.
Day 2 – After breakfast drive to Royal Windsor and Windsor Castle, the traditional home of the Kings and Queens of England. We enter the Castle visiting the State Rooms and Royal Apartments. After the Castle the group will have time to explore Windsor Great Park, home to Virginia Water Lake.
Day 3 – Spend the morning in Oxford, home of the world famous university. A walking tour of this historic city with entry to University buildings and the Ashmolean Museum. In the afternoon we head to Woodstock to see Blenheim Palace and Bladon (the graveyard of Winston Churchill).
Day 4 – Drive through the lovely Cotswolds. Stunning English countryside, tiny villages and beautiful gardens stopping at Stow on the Wold and Bibury (said to be the most beautiful village in England). Then to Wiltshire and stop at Lacock Village, dating back to the 13th century and untouched by modern development.
Day 5 – A full day in historic Bath. A morning walking tour of this historic city, with a chance to see the Roman Baths, Pump Room and Royal Crescent. Free time in the afternoon in one of England’s most visited cities.
Day 6 – A morning visit to Stonehenge, built in 3000BC, one of the worlds greatest prehistoric mysteries! In the afternoon we drive to Salisbury, home to Britain's finest 13th century Cathedral! Discover nearly 800 years of history, including the world's best preserved Magna Carta (AD 1215) and Europe’s oldest working clock (AD 1386).
Day 7 – Back to London, and end the tour in England's Capital City. Visit Madame Tussauds, ride the London Eye or spend the time shopping in Oxford Street or Regent Street.
Tour 3 - Cambridge, York, Edinburgh, Lake District, manchester OR Liverpool, Stratford upon Avon & Oxford
Day 1 - Cambridge
Cambridge is one of the most famous University cities in the world, a group of over 30 individual colleges with medieval buildings of stone, timber and brick, clad in ivy and built around quiet courtyards and cloisters. The walking tour of this beautiful city will reveal many of its oldest colleges such as Peterhouse, St Catherine's, Clare, Corpus Christi, Gonville and Caius, Trinity, St John's and the magnificent King's College with its impressive chapel. Other colleges outside of the walking tour can be seen during free time such as Christ's, Jesus, Magdalene and Emanuel (alma mater of John Harvard, founder of the American university that takes his name). Other well known sights include the Mathmatical Bridge at Queen's College, Senate House - where students graduate, the River Cam - busy with punts and rowing boats, the church of the Holy Sepulchre - the famous round church, one of only four in the country, Parker's Piece and Great St Mary's where entrance is included to the tower for great views over the University and the low lying meadowland of Cambridgeshire and the Fens.
Day 2 – York

An early departure from Edinburgh, and drive down to the beautiful Lake Dsitrict. Starting with a visit to Ambleside and the home of William Wordsworth, and then on to a boat from Ambleside to Bowness, followed by some free time/lunch by Lake Windermere. Then back on the boat for the journey from Bowness to Lakeside.
Day 5 - Manchester or Liverpool
Begin with a walking tour of one of these bustling cities and visit one of the many museums or attractions on offer. Im Manchester there is the People’s Museum, the Museum of Science and Industry and the famous Urbis, in Liverpool there is the Tate Liverpool and the Beatles Story, then end the day with an excursion to the home of one of the worlds most famous famous teams - Old Trafford Football Stadium (home of Manchester United Football Team) or Anfield (home to Liverpool football team).
